Dr. S.P. Thiagarajan MD DM Nephrology is one of India's most distinguished nephrologists. A retired Professor and Head of Department of Nephrology at Coimbatore Medical College, he spent decades training the next generation of kidney specialists while personally performing over 400 renal transplants.
In 2008, Dr. Thiagarajan founded SPT Hospital with a singular purpose: to bring the same standard of advanced nephrology and multispeciality care available in metropolitan India directly to the patients of Coimbatore — without the burden of travelling hundreds of kilometres from home.
Today, SPT Hospital has grown into a 12-specialty centre recognised across Tamil Nadu for its clinical rigour, patient-first culture, and the quiet conviction that great medicine belongs close to home.
